Romney Müller-Westernhagen:
"With this campaign "Bund der Löwinnen" (Union of lionesses) I´m supporting the girls right for education in Tansania. You can help this project buying this Shirt with 5 Euros per Shirt."

The musical “The Lion King” has been very successful for many years. Now Disney’s “The Lion King” and Plan have joined forces for a good cause, and they have created “Bund der Löwinnen“ (Alliance of Lionesses). Romney Müller-Westernhagen, who has been a Plan sponsor for 19 years, is the patron of the alliance. The aim of the co-operation is to support especially girls in African countries. “No child should be denied the right to education. Particularly girls need our support. Plan’s project in Tanzania offers them the opportunity to receive better education. This is why I support Bund der Löwinnen”, says Romney Müller-Westernhagen.

The project supports the construction of a dormitory for girls at Ihanamilo Secondary School in the Plan program area of Geita in the northeast of Tanzania. The establishment of a girls boarding school with about 100 beds as well as a school kitchen and a dining-hall for 600 pupils will provide girls access to secondary education.
Many poor families in Africa still think that it is not worth sending girls to school. Instead, they must help their parents with the household chores and do not regularly attend school. Moreover, the distance between their home and their school is six kilometres on average. They often must rent a room near their school and work themselves to bear the costs. This increases the risk of abuse, prostitution, HIV infection and unwanted pregnancies.

5 euros of each “Bund der Löwinnen” T-shirt will go to Plan’s girls project in Tanzania.

Since the T-shirts are small, please order one size larger.
