Anyone who buys from Plan Shop supports women and their families in the poorest regions of the world and receives unique products in return. With our business model, we are pioneers in fair globalization and promote equal rights for women.

Fair globalization means that we enable women to participate fairly in world trade in the first place. For the products we offer at Plan Shop, we pay the manufacturers prices that are higher than usual on the market, but which should actually become the standard. In return, we avoid expensive marketing, cost-intensive intermediary trade and high profit margins. This enables us to provide good wages and excellent social benefits on site. When selecting our business partners, we make sure that this also happens.

The cooperatives we work with are mostly owned by women and provide work for women. For these women, earning their own income is not only the best means of overcoming poverty. It is also a matter of equal rights. In countries that are often still dominated by patriarchal structures, women's economic independence is the top priority when it comes to leading a more self-determined life.

One important contribution we make as Plan Shop is to open up international markets for our partners. We support them with design, customs formalities, help with financing and much more. We make sure that not only social but also ecological standards are met. We are convinced that this eye-to-eye trade leads to more peace in the world and is a win-win situation for everyone involved, including us.

Profits that we generate flow into projects of our parent company Plan International e.V., the world's largest children's aid organization. The main beneficiaries are girls' funds.

Plan Shop GmbH has its office in Hamburg and employs 18 people who are proud of their work.
