These lovingly decorated handmade woollen products by Sumaq Qara combine the colourful exotic of Peruvian handicraft with European design. Today the company, founded by three Peruvian sisters, offers jobs and the chance to work in a fair environment to more than 800 women who sometimes come from an extremely poor background or who had to suffer violent acts or other crushing blows.
