On the road with traditional textiles

Ethnotek is a social enterprise with a unique idea: modern, functional backpacks, bags and purses are transformed into beautiful, unique pieces thanks to handmade textiles from all over the world. The textiles used are as diverse as the cultures they come from: Wood-printed fabrics from Ghana, woven Mayan textiles from Guatemala, imaginative motifs from India, colourful batiks from Indonesia and hand-embroidered masterpieces from Vietnam.

A company that is better for the world.
Ethnotek helps to preserve endangered craftsmanship. This is because traditional fabrics are increasingly being replaced by industrially manufactured textiles on local markets. Ethnotek's use of handmade fabrics safeguards the livelihoods of artisans who weave, embroider or batik in the traditional way - and are paid fairly for doing so.

Ethnotek is part of the global B Corp network that is redefining business success: It's not about being the best company in the world as much as being the best company for the world. This means sustainable production, fair trade and partnerships at eye level. By the way, the "B" in B Corp stands for "Benefit", for positive impact.
